A date with swing
The proposal
Three voices, one swing soul: the irony and elegance of harmonised singing
Someone has described the Sorelle Marinetti – with a touch of irony – as the best female harmony-singing trio in Italy.
They have certainly earned plenty of acclaim, if for ten years they have been touring the length of Italy and its finest theatres with their repertoire of syncopated songs from the EIAR era.
In 2010 they were on the stage of the Teatro Ariston with Arisa, in 2011 they went on a summer tour with Simone Cristicchi, and in 2012 Vinicio Capossela wanted them as backing vocalists on his single Pryntyl, from the album “Marinai profeti e balene”, and for the tour that followed the album’s release.
On 16 April 2018 their third studio album, “Parole d’amor”, was released, and it is on this record that the new musical show was created.
Appuntamento con lo swing (“A Date with Swing”) is the Sorelle Marinetti’s musical show designed for clubs and for events that call for fun, high-quality musical entertainment.
The Sorelle Marinetti are: Marco Lugli as Scintilla Marinetti, Nicola Olivieri as Turbina Marinetti, and Matteo Minerva as Elica Marinetti.
The jazz quartet of the Orchestra Maniscalchi is made up of Christian Schmitz (piano, arrangements and vocal coaching), Adalberto Ferrari (clarinet, C-melody sax), Marco Mistrangelo (double bass) and Martino Malacrida (drums).
