Handpiano
The proposal
Between acoustic piano and handpan, a new musical alchemy is born. An invitation to return to what is essential.
Handpiano is an artistic exploration and an immersive listening experience created by the meeting of piano and handpan. The project explores music’s ability to absorb the memory, rhythm, history and atmosphere of the places in which it is created.
Born from the union of two complementary visions — that of film composition and musical architecture, and that of travel, nature and human encounter — each work/volume of the project takes shape in a different part of the world.
The programme
Show format
The live experience unfolds in 3 movements/moments, for a suspended time in dialogue with the architecture, light and acoustics of the space:
1. Arrival (45′ / 60′): the audience walks through a space conceived as an art installation before the first note is even played, with a first drink in hand.
2. Performance (70′ / 80′): the heart of the live experience, in which piano and handpan converse with the room, its acoustics and its light. The audience listens seated, standing or lying down.
3. Convivio (45′ / 60′): a closing moment of sharing with the audience, to stay immersed in the atmosphere of the place.
