Deborah Falanga
A Milanese singer with an eclectic and versatile voice, Deborah Falanga has a thirty-year career on the live music scene. Her repertoire moves with ease across many genres, including soul, jazz, bossa nova, Latin music and funk, performing songs in as many as five different languages.
Her concert work ranges from performances in intimate line-ups (such as duos and trios) to the role of soloist for big bands and historic live-music venues, including the Salumeria della Musica in Milan.
Over the course of her career she has taken part in numerous notable musical projects. She is particularly known for her collaboration with the Iguazù Acoustic Trio (made up of Fabio Gianni on piano, Marco Mistrangelo on bass and Alex Battini de Barreiro on drums and percussion), joining the group in projects devoted to Latin American rhythms, bossa nova and Latin jazz (such as the show “From Brazil to Cuba”). She has also collaborated with the Giancarlo Cova Jazz 4Tet and taken part in projects by the gypsy-jazz band Four On Six.
